NEW DRIVERS.
Anyone passing their LGV tests after 10th September 2009 will have to complete the following 4 modules
- Theory and Hazard Awareness test.
- Case Study questions and answers
- Practical Driving Test
- Pratical Demonstration Test.
You must also have completed your periodic training by September 2014.
EXSISTING DRIVERS.
If you already hold an LGV licence then you automatically will have this qualification. This is termed "Grandfathers Rights" however, you also will have to have completed your periodic training by September 2014.
The purpose of the Driver CPC
This new qualification in being introduced to improve the knowledge and skills of LGV drivers with its main aims being:-
- Increase road safety
- Reduce fuel consumption and vehicle wear and tear
- Improving the profile of the driving profession
