The B+E test was first introduced after changes made to the driving licence laws which came into effect on January 01 1997. If you passed your car test after this date in order to drive a car towing a trailer with a gross train weight exceeding 3500Kgs you are required by law to hold a B+E test. licence, (normally a trailer weighing over 750Kgs gross weight would require a B+E test)
The B+E test is officially a car test, but is carried out at a LGV (HGV) test centre by LGV examiners authorised by the Driving Standard Agency (DSA)
The test follows the same Vocational test format as an articulated LGV (HGV) test.

Our training will start with an assessment drive where our instructors will assess your driving capabilities. From this we will let you know how many days training you will need to be ready to take your test.
The course will be around the Leicester test routes where your examiner will take you on your driving test.
Many of our customers already hold the B+E licence category, but want to learn to handle and reverse a trailer correctly. We can tailor make a course to suit your individual requirements. Our training course has been highly praised by all who have taken it.
